Facts about our school:

  • Founded in 1980, State College Friends School now enrolls 120 students in grades Kindergarten - 8th grade.
  • There are 12-20 students per classroom with one lead teacher and one part time assistant teacher. Small class size allows for a great deal of individual instruction and small group learning.
  • Kindergarten is offered as a half-day or full-day program.
  • To accommodate working parents After School Care is available from 3:20 - 5:30 daily.
  • Transportation to the school is available at no extra cost through local school districts.
  • Tutition assistance is available.

Admissions 
State College Friends School looks for students who will benefit from our instructional style and who will contribute positively to the life of the school community. We seek families who are supportive of our Quaker values and our educational goals. Friends School is committed to building and maintaining a community that is diverse and inclusive with regard to race, ethnicity, gender, creed, family structure, and economic background.

Families interested in enrollment should contact our office to request an application and schedule a visit. We recommend that applications for fall enrollment be submitted between September 1 and February 1 of the preceding school year. Applications received during this period are considered as a group, and those received later are considered if space is available. The number of openings at each grade level is determined after the re-enrollment of current students occurs in March.

When the number of applicants exceeds the number of spaces available, students are placed in a waiting pool. Should a space become available, a waiting pool candidate will be selected based on the needs of the class.
